My story
Found on the side of the road, eating roadkill to survive, Anne was picked up by Good Samaritans. They contacted us, and of course, we had to help. Anne was emaciated, dehydrated, COVERED in ticks and fleas, and had a fever of 105F! We hospitalized her to save her. Anne was infected with a tick borne disease, Ehrlichia. She has been on antibiotics and has been gaining weight. Anne is a very shy girl who LOVES to smile! She loves to lift her upper lip and smile when she is happy! With her past, Anne is slow to trust and prefers to spend most of her time outside. She loves laying on the porch and watching the world go by. She also LOVES belly rubs! While she is not completely ready for adoption, she would love a foster home or a foster to adopt home while she heals. We still need to spay her and vaccinate her, but we are waiting until her treatment for ehrlichia is finished.
