Read about our adoption process on our website. Hi, I'm Jamie! I'm still learning about the world, so everything is an adventure for me. Though I take some time to warm up, I'm friendly and very curious, always sniffing out new scents and exploring every nook and cranny. Playtime is my favourite, I can chase a ball for hours! But when it's time to rest, I'm all about the cuddles. I'm fluffy and soft, perfect for snuggling. I can't wait to find a family that I can shower with love and who will love me back. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of fun into your life. Adopt me and let's start our adventure together!Name: JamieBreed: Corgi mix (looks like he could have Shepherd)Age: ~9 months Weight: ~25lbSex: Male, neuteredColour: Tan and whiteMedical: No concerns Good with men: Yes, but shy and warms up quicklyGood with women: Yes, but shy and warms up quicklyGood with kids 0-6: Unknown, not testedGood with kids 7-15: Unknown, not tested but suspect yes to older kids due to temperament When the dog meets new people, he: Approaches cautiously, Approaches in a neutral manner, Shy, Does not want to interact at first, but warms upGood with dogs: Yes, happy to co-exist with other dogsHow does this dog react to meeting new dogs? Neutral - will say hello nicely, Whines, Stiff body, Depends on how the other dog is actingWhat type(s) of dogs does this dog prefer/be best with? Jamie appears to be social with other dogs, just lacks confidence and can be a bit nervous at the first introduction. I can see him doing well with another medium-high energy dog, once settled into a home/new family. Good with Cats: Presumed to be good with cats based on cat-test; currently integrating into a foster home with 3 cats. During his cat test, he remained neutral, eventually walked away and ignored the cats.Crate training: UnknownHouse training: 75%Resource Guarding: None seenWalks on a leash: Walks well, Nervous and needs coaxing. Can be nervous on a leash with a new person but walks pretty well with people he knows.Energy level: HighAreas to work on; Needs confidence building, Touch sensitivity. His main area to work on seems to be socialization. He hasn't shown any reactivity; he just seems to get anxious/scared/nervous around new people or things. What type of environments would NOT be suitable for the dog? City, Condo/Apartment Any noted separation anxiety?None seenBarker: Average What would be the ideal home for this dog?Jamie would thrive in a home with space to run around and people to play with. He would likely do well with other dogs too but would benefit from a meet and greet before getting 'thrown in'! I can see him running around with older kids in a yard and playing fetch, but we haven't seen him around children just yet. As long as he has space to run and people to love on him, he'll be so happy!
