My story

Meet Peanut, a 2-year-old little firecracker with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! Recently surrendered due to a move, Peanut is now looking for a new family to adore and keep up with his goofy, energetic spirit. Peanut is full of bounce and curiosity. He’s got puppy-like energy, loves attention, and may chew on things if left to his own devices - a little structure and some chew toys will go a long way!. He can be a bit jumpy when meeting new people, but it’s all part of his charm...he just can’t wait to say hello. He’s already made doggy friends in playgroup and lights up whenever someone offers him pets or praise. If you're looking for a quirky, loving, and lively pup who’s ready to bring joy and spice to your life, Peanut might just be your guy. Come meet him at ACCT Philly any day of the week between 10 am and 6 pm VIDEOS Peanut & King Julius: https://youtube.com/shorts/2MSChuGbPgA?feature=share Peanut & King Julius Part 2: https://youtube.com/shorts/TgMzCt5syPg?feature=share BEHAVIOR: 06/16/2025 staff notes: Peanut was very excited to exit his kennel. He let me lash him and then pick him up out of kennel. He pulled on leash a little bit while walking. He loves attention all he wanted was to be pet. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. If you are a rescue interested in pulling this animal, please email our lifesaving team, or visit here if you are not currently a rescue partner: https://acctphilly.org/acct-philly-love-local-partnership-program/ Confirmed placement is considered a confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent. All animals at ACCT Philly are from Philadelphia, as the only open-intake animal shelter in Philadelphia, we are not able to accept animals from outside of Philadelphia. ACCT Philly's Pennsylvania kennel license number is 08313.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Peanut, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
