My story

AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! Hello, my name is Brownie and I'm a 6-month-old, neutered Doberman Pinscher that currently weighs about 45lbs. I'm still growing though and could reach about 90lbs as an adult. I'm as sweet as my name implies, but I'm still learning about the world. Some would say I'm still learning everything. I'm hoping for a family that understands Dobermans and is prepared to help build my confidence and social skills. I'm easily overwhelmed by new places and experiences, so I prefer to live with teens and adults. I promise I'm worth the work. I love cuddles and have been very playful and affectionate with my favorite people. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor.
