Bootleg

My story

Meet Bootleg! Bootleg entered the Humane Society of Imperial County as a stray and wasn't claimed. We scooped him up on June 5th to become a Frosted Face. Bootleg is estimated to be 9 years old and weighs 15 lbs. He is very sweet and does well with the other little dogs in our play yard. Bootleg joined volunteers and some of his Frosted Friends on a paddleboarding adventure! As you can see in the photos, he was relaxed and enjoyed taking in the sights and smells as they glided along. Bootleg went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him in a home setting. With some help from his Fling Mom, Bootleg shared this update: "Hi! I’m Bootleg, a quiet, lower energy pup that loves the heck out of sleeping in my dog bed. Short walks or wandering in the yard is more than enough exercise for me. I get along with other dogs as long as they don’t try to sleep with me because sleeping around with other dogs is not my thing. I have been out paddle boarding and just enjoy sitting on your lap. In the car, I am a dream (if I do say so myself!) If you take me out and about I keep to myself. I have my playful moments with other dogs in the home but I am respectful of their space and appreciate the same. I am not attention seeking but will go to the door to let you know I need out. I bark once when I am ready to come back in. but that’s the only time you hear me be vocal. I would love to find a quiet home with a nice bed, especially a snuggle ball which is my favorite."
