My story

Hi, I’m Becky! I'm a 4-year-old, 11-lb Shih Tzu blend. I'm people person-- er, people dog-- and I'm looking for a kind, patient, loving family who can show me how wonderful a dog's life can be! General Behavior:  Becky has come a very long way and once she is settled into a home, she is very sweet and loving. She loves sleeping in, taking it easy, and she loves people (especially if those people rub her belly). She craves a lot of love and attention and she will give it right back. Likes & Dislikes: Becky loves to be the center of attention, and she gets really excited to play. She is learning to bring you toys and to drop them at your feet. She doesn't like loud noises. Training: Becky has the makings of a little lady! She is housetrained if let out frequently. She generally has good basic manners, although she needs more practice walking on a leash and car rides are not her cup of tea. She sleeps in the people bed at night. She is working on "sit" and "stay". Medical: Becky is a healthy girl! She just needs her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Becky’s a bit complicated when it comes to which dogs she does and does not get along with, so she'd do best in a home where she has her person all to herself. She hasn't been observed around cats yet, but her foster does not think they'd get along. Children: This shy sweetheart loves people, but she needs an adults-only home where she won't be startled by loud noises. Home: Becky would do well in just about any sort of home, as long as she has a securely fenced yard where she can roam and exercise. She  also has a pretty loud bark that can be triggered by noises outside like the wind or loud talking. Grooming: This Becky has good hair (well, fur), and will need regular brushing plus professional grooming every few months. Overall: Becky will be a loyal friend to wonderful, patient person who can help her feel secure and loved. Could Becky be your bestie? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption donation is $375. ##2346126##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Becky, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
