My story

Hi, I’m Chloe! I'm a 5-year-old, 9-lb Dachshund-Chihuahua blend, and I might be part ballerina, too, because I love to pose, wiggle, twirl, and do a happy little dance when I see my people. Could you be my people? General Behavior: This happy and loving girl is affectionate, clever, and a little bit goofy. When she gets really excited, she’ll tap dance and give you lots of kisses. She is extremely communicative if you are familiar with dog body language and posturing and she often displays this by tail wagging, play bows, short hops, and nose boops. When she is afraid or nervous-- for example, when she hears unfamiliar sounds-- her body language clearly exhibits her emotions. She can be a bit timid around new people or situations, but as soon as she realizes that you have enough food, space, and love for her, she warms right up. Likes & Dislikes: In addition to snuggles, Chloe loves toys: the more, the merrier! Training: Chloe is a good girl! She is housetrained if let out frequently, does well during car rides, and sleeps in a dog bed at night. Chloe is still learning and accepting that she is safe now, with guaranteed meals, snuggles, and people who won’t hurt her. Her adopter will need to continue to work on building her confidence and help her be the dog she was always meant to be. Medical: Chloe is a healthy girl! She just needs her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Chloe gets along with other small dogs, whether they be playful or laid back. She can be a bit shy at first, but now she loves tussling and playing with her foster brother Bruno. She hasn't been observed around cats yet, but her foster thinks she'd be OK with them. Children: Chloe needs a home with gentle, patient, kind teenagers or adults only. Home: Whether in an apartment, condo, or single-family home, Chloe would do well, as long as there is someone around more often than not to dote on her. Grooming: Chloe should not need too much elaborate grooming beyond standard brushing and nail trims. Overall: Chloe is a delight who will make a wonderful companion for a kind, loving family. Has Chloe danced her way into your heart? Then please visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. Chloe is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption donation is $400. ##2404733##
