My story

There’s that undeniable "aww" moment we all experience when we see an adorable, young dog in need of help. Stevie is sweet, loving, and irresistibly endearing. She has a way of melting hearts and leaving you absolutely head over heels in love. Stevie is not just a dog; she’s a reminder of the resilience and love that can emerge from even the toughest situations. Sadly, for dogs like Stevie, the story doesn’t always start with a warm home. Before she found safety, Stevie was wandering the terrifying streets of small-town Texas, vulnerable and alone. She was picked up and brought into a shelter that left her facing the very real threat of euthanasia. When the shelter reached out asking for our help, how could we turn our backs on this sweet soul..we looked into Stevie's beautiful eyes and knew we just couldn’t. At just 9 months old and weighing 32 pounds, Stevie is a gorgeous purebred Cattle Dog. Shelter workers had already fallen in love with our wonderful girl—her sweet energy, her desire to please, and her natural ability to connect with those who show her kindness are irresistible traits for a family dog. Without hesitation, Farfel's Rescue responded, welcoming this precious pup into our care. Stevie is now on her way to finding the forever family she so truly deserves. From Stevie's rescuer: "Are you looking for a running pal? A walking pal? A cuddle pal? A brewery pal? A road-trip pal? A kid-friendly pal? Stevie wants to do it all! We are positively smitten with this sweet, smart and super social snuggle pup. Stevie is a truly joyful dog. Whether its people or other dogs, Stevie loves everyone and everything she meets. She gets along great with our resident dog. When he’s had enough play time, she knows to back away and give him space. Behind Stevies expressive dark eyes, you can tell that she loves to learn new things. She is working on mastering new commands and her willingness and intellect definitely shine through. Everyone loves Stevie! She's just that kind of super-smart, intuitive and lovable as can be She's a really really great dog and will make someone super happy!" Stevie is up to date on her vetting and vaccinations to stay true to Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. She has also been spayed to fulfill our commitment to ending the tragic canine overpopulation challenge. Applications are currently being accepted for our gorgeous Stevie and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If you're interested in this extremely sweet, cuddly and fun-loving best friend, please fill out our application completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Stevie, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Stevie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
