He was found as a stray off Somerset in Rockwall and, sadly, was never reclaimed. But now, Slater is looking ahead to brighter days with a loving forever family by his side. This sweet boy is full of heart and ready to give his all to the right home. While Slater did test positive for heartworms, he's been enrolled in a treatment program sponsored by Rockwall PAWS, meaning his care will come at little to no cost for his adopter. Shelter staff are happy to answer any questions about his treatment or what to expect during recovery. If you're looking for a devoted, medium-energy companion who's already neutered and ready to settle into family life, Slater could be the perfect match. Slater is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination and basic boosters. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
