My story

Morrie is ready for his flight to Vancouver upon adoption. Background: Morrie was easily rescued from a city pound in Sangju, Korea, earlier this year. He lived in a shelter manager’s home for a while and has now joined our boarding house while he waits for his forever home. Since being rescued, he has lived with other dogs. Personality and Socialization: Morrie has been such a good boy! He’s gentle, friendly, and gets along well with other dogs. While he enjoys playing with other dogs, he also loves to relax and chill — the perfect balance of playful and calm. As you can see in the video, Morrie is smart, loyal, and a fast learner. He’s a bit nervous around loud, hyper, or dominant dogs, but he does really well with gentle and friendly dogs. Morrie has medium energy and a sweet, quiet personality. Most of all, he loves being around people. He’s the kind of dog who quietly sticks by your side and just wants to be with you. Behaviours: Morrie walks well on a leash. When he lived in the shelter manager’s home, he was left alone with other dogs for a few hours and mostly napped and relaxed without barking or showing signs of separation anxiety. He is good in the car and during baths. He behaved well at the vet. He hasn’t shown any destructive behaviors. He prefers to go potty outside but has used indoor pee pads when needed. Overall, he has been an easy-going and low-maintenance dog. Like most dogs, he doesn’t like being in a crate. Health and Diet: Morrie has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations. He receives monthly preventative treatments for internal and external parasites, and he has had parasite tests, including a heartworm test. He eats dry food twice a day and hasn’t shown any allergies so far. Ideal Home: Morrie has been a wonderful dog since he was rescued. He could be a good fit for many families, including first-time dog owners or a single-person household. While we can’t guarantee how our dogs will behave in a new environment and lifestyle, we believe that with a gradual introduction and an adopter’s commitment, he will thrive and become a wonderful companion. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Morrie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
