My story

Chooyi arrives in Vancouver on June 14. Background: Chooyi is a gentle soul who spent the first part of her life in a puppy mill in Boryeong, Korea. Thankfully, she was rescued two years ago and found safety in a shelter. Recently, she joined our care and is now waiting for her forever home. She currently lives at our boarding house with other friendly dogs. Personality and Socialization: Chooyi is the kind of pup who always seems to be smiling. She’s friendly, easygoing, and not shy around strangers—whether men or women. With a sweet and affectionate nature, she enjoys cuddles and being close to her humans. She has a calm, medium energy level and is not bossy, barky, or demanding. She hasn’t had experience with cats or young children, but based on her personality, she would likely do fine with proper introductions. Behavior and Temperament: This lovely girl is low maintenance and very well-mannered. She walks nicely on a leash and loves following her person around. Chooyi does well with other dogs, especially those who are friendly and gentle like her. She may feel overwhelmed by dogs that are overly dominant, hyper, or much bigger than her. Bath time, car rides, and vet visits? No problem—Chooyi handles them all like a pro. She’s truly a joy to care for. Health and Diet: Chooyi is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations. She receives regular parasite prevention and has shown no signs of allergies. She eats dry kibble twice a day and does well on it. She has some missing teeth but her dental work is done. Ideal Home: Chooyi is the perfect companion for someone looking for a loving, easygoing dog. She would do wonderfully with first-time dog parents or someone looking to add a second dog to the family. A calm household where she can enjoy snuggles and companionship would be ideal. Whoever adopts Chooyi will be incredibly lucky—she’s truly a little angel ready to bring joy into someone’s life. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chooyi, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
