My story

Pepper Rat terrier Spayed female 10 months old, 12 pounds Pepper’s even-keeled energy is a popular mix of “let’s play” and “let’s cuddle.” Tug, fetch, and walks are Pepper’s go-to exercise. She’s also a great communicator who will sit, wave, and head to bed when asked, and she even knows to ring a bell to go potty every few hours. Speaking of bed, Pepper isn’t the type of dog who does well being kenneled for more than 2-3 hours at a time. So, a home with someone around most of the time is required. Bonus: she comes with her donated bed, toys, and favorite treats. Pepper mixes well with feline friends, dogs of any size, and older children. That said, Pepper does best in a home that feels more like a peaceful retreat than a bustling social hub. Her current owner admits high-traffic environments overstimulate her, which leads to potty accidents. These issues are expected to resolve themselves with a more routine home, but she can be slow to warm up to strangers and seems to bond with women more readily. Overall, Pepper is described as sweet and snuggly, playful and happy, intelligent and well-mannered. With her being so young, this is someone’s chance to adopt a friend for life.
