My story

Introducing Charlie! Charlie is a sweet, gentle and affectionate 7 yr. old Shih Tzu weighing 12 lbs. He loves people and has yet to meet a stranger. He enjoys cuddling on laps and is the kind of dog that will always be by your side. For playtime, he will challenge you to a game of tug of war with his chew toy and he loves going on walks. He also rides well in vehicles. This little man has an adventurous spirit, so make sure doors are closed and fences are secure!  In addition to having a nice moderate energy level, Charlie is in great health - having just received a full Vet exam, vaccinations, bloodwork, and is heartworm negative. Charlie would do best in a quiet home with a senior person or couple. He is great with kids, but loud, constant noises do cause him to be anxious. He also is not a fan of thunderstorms, so you can expect him to be on your lap or near your side during monsoon storms. Charlie gets along well with female dogs, but we are unsure about male dogs and cats. Apply for Charlie today!
