My story

Judy is a sweet and lovable young adult dog seeking a new home! Judy is 51lbs and has a sleek brindle and white coat. She enjoys squeaky toys, pets and affection, and long walks to sniff and explore her surroundings. Judy came to the shelter as a stray dog and when her owner could not be found, she was prepared for adoption! Judy was introduced to another dog here at the shelter. Judy was respectful but vocalized when the other dog was coming on too jumpy and strong for her liking. Judy may do well in the company of other dogs who are respectful of her space and go slow. If you have another doggy family member, please bring them to the shelter to meet Judy and make sure she is a good fit for your pack! Judy is a gentle, loving girl who thrives in calm, quiet environments. While she has so much love to give, she can become reactive and stressed with loud noises, sirens, and the hustle and bustle of city life. For that reason, Judy would do best in a peaceful home away from heavy traffic and outside commotion — a quiet neighborhood is exactly what this sweet girl needs to feel safe and happy. If you have a calm home and a heart ready to welcome a sensitive companion, Judy just might be your perfect match.This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
