My story

** $20 in pledges for the rescue that pulls ** Meet Thing 2! Thing 2 is a 4-year-old female who came in as a stray on 5/31. The finder noted that she was "friendly, shy and quiet." Videos: Thing 2 Milo Smilo Dog Meet: https://youtube.com/shorts/rl9lJ0R7-qI?feature=share Behavior Notes: Per staff 6/16: “Took Thing 2 out for a dog meet. She was grumbling when she first got out and the other staff member gave her some treats when she was quiet. I was able to get the leash on her while cracking the door open, then opened it and picked her up with a towel. She was good on leash and was loose and a big wiggly. I put a towel on her to put her back and used the hook to remove the leash just as an extra precaution.” Per staff 6/15: “Helped medical staff member return dog to kennel. She indicted he was growling and snapping when getting him from kennel, had to towel and remove the whole bed too. To return she held his head stable with a tight leash while I tossed a towel Over his back and head and picked him up. He was growling and snapping the whole time, including during leash removal.” Per staff 5/31: "Unable to vaccinate due to P behavior. P was nipping at handlers when reached towards and would not allow much touching" Medical Notes: On 6/5: Thing 2 was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. She tested negative for Pneumovirus. Per an intake exam on 5/31: -no, unable to place microchip due to P behavior -ears are dry and dirty -minimal staining on teeth -BAR, feisty ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. If you are a rescue interested in pulling this animal, please email our lifesaving team, or visit here if you are not currently a rescue partner: https://acctphilly.org/acct-philly-love-local-partnership-program/ Confirmed placement is considered a confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent. ACCT Philly's Pennsylvania kennel license number is 08313.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Thing 2, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
