My story

Meet Elmo! 10-year-old Elmo was entrusted to our care through the Final Wish Program after his mom passed away from cancer. She had adopted him as a puppy 10 years ago, and Elmo grew up alongside her daughter, forming a deep bond with his human sister. He was a loving and devoted companion to them both. The father of Elmo's late owner shared: "A day in Elmo's life has been hanging by his mom's side providing comfort mostly. As of her passing, I have been trying to get him out more, including going on walks. Elmo likes when my granddaughter rides her scooter, and I have on a long extended leash so he can follow her, turn when she turns and basically follows her every move. That is very fun for him. Elmo likes when you go in the yard with him when he goes out to potty. He will grab a toy for you to throw, and he will play fetch. Elmo is very friendly, house-trained, and doesn't get stressed when home alone. We wish that we could keep Elmo, but we have a large dog who has to be the only pet in the home."
