He’s basically grown up here at the shelter, and that’s just heartbreaking, because he’s still just a baby.Despite spending most of his young life in a kennel, Basil is full of love and an endless desire to play. He’s always ready to give affection, always wagging his tail, and always hoping today will be the day he finds his forever home.He gets along amazingly with his kennel mate, and while we’re not sure how he does with cats or kids, his gentle and playful nature makes us believe he’d do great with children. Basil is still learning the ropes when it comes to house and crate training, but he’s smart and eager to please—he’ll pick it up in no time with the right guidance.What Basil truly needs is a home where he can run in a big field, play to his heart’s content, snuggle with his family, and finally feel what it’s like to be truly loved.He is up to date on vaccinations and currently weighs 25 pounds—the perfect size for fun, cuddles, and everything in between.Please give this sweet pup the chance he deserves. Let Basil grow up in a home, not behind shelter walls.Basil's Adoption fee is $110 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.
