My story

Meet Pearl!Age: 6 monthsBreed: Beagle MixWeight: 13 lbsPearl is a gentle and sensitive 6-month-old Beagle mix who’s looking for a special kind of home — one filled with patience, calm, and unconditional love. Found as a stray and never reclaimed, Pearl came to us terrified and unsure of her surroundings. She’s still very shaky and timid, but we’ve discovered one thing that brings her comfort: your lap. Being held or sitting close to someone helps her feel safe, and she’s slowly learning to trust again. We don’t yet know how Pearl does with other dogs, cats, or young children, and she’s likely not yet house or crate trained. Because she startles easily, we recommend a quiet home with kids aged 12 and up, where she won’t be overwhelmed by loud noises or fast movements.Pearl is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and weighs just 13 pounds — the perfect size for lap snuggles and close companionship. If you have the time, heart, and patience to help a scared pup feel safe and loved, Pearl is ready to give her trust and heart to someone special. She just needs the chance to blossom. 💕Pearl's Adoption Fee is Fully Sponsored in memory of Linda JakoDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pearl, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
