My story

Meet Elmo! | Apply To Adopt Me Elmo is a 15-week-old female Malinois/shepherd mix who currently weighs about 15 lbs and was rescued from a severe hoarding case where over 40 dogs were found crammed into a tiny NYC apartment. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was completely shut down—curled up in a crate with her sibling and too scared to move. Since entering foster care, Elmo has made incredible progress thanks to the patience and love of her foster family and the companionship of a confident resident dog. She’s even attended two community therapy events, bravely interacting with children and adults and showing how far she’s come. Elmo is now a playful, curious puppy who seeks affection and is learning to trust the world around her. She’ll thrive in a home with someone who has experience with shepherd or Malinois-type breeds and can provide clear leadership, continued training, and structure to help her keep building confidence and becoming the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Elmo adoption fee $550 WATCH ME HERE!   Come meet our adoptable dogs at this weekend’s Korean K9 Rescue events!   We’re back for  Yappy Hour at Spicy Moon—and it’s going to be a good one!
