My story

Abel is a big puppy with an even bigger heart. This gentle giant is a dream on leash, whether you’re walking or running, he stays right by your side like a loyal pal. He loves hotdogs, soft treats, and showing off his tricks, sit, paw, kiss, “up,” and even “pick up your leash” yes, he’ll bring it right to you when he’s ready to head out! Abel is happiest just hanging with his people. He’ll chase a ball but really just wants to lay by your feet and soak up some love. Abel is still young and learning, and he does best when approached calmly, too much excitement or too many people at once can make him a bit nervous. Sweet, smart, and sensitive, Abel would thrive in a home that appreciates his gentle nature and goofy puppy charm. What a gentle soul he is! He greeted me at his kennel door and hopped right out to trot though the kennels and outside! Once outside we ran through the parking lot together for a little bit. He is an excellent walking/running pal who stayed right by my side and didn’t pull on his leash. A very good boy. The temps were in the 80’s so I didn’t want to run him too long and we hit the yard to play. Abel was interested in balls, but did not chance them, he was happiest to just be by my side getting pets and relaxing. He sat an took treats very gently although he was a little particular and seemed to prefer soft treats over hard ones. Over all this fella, while large, is a very gentle boy who was an absolute joy to spend time with. 06/05/2025 staff notes: Abel is still just a puppy, a very large puppy He knows sit, paw, kiss, up, and pick up your leash (he picks his leash up and brings it to u) Abel LOVES hotdogs He is great on his leash, no pulling. He is playful and clinging. He will settle down and sleep at ur feet. I am able to handle the dog with ease. Some have found him hard to read. He does not like being approached by multiple people at once - Makes random chomp noises and whines when excited Will bring u his leash when he wants to be let outside.
