Lola

My story

A28225 Lola is a white colored, approximately 3-year-old, 45-pound, spayed female, Husky / Heeler mix. She entered the shelter as a stray on 05-30-2025 and was altered by our medical staff. Lola is a friendly, but timid and shy girl here at the shelter. She is still trying to figure out this shelter environment and why she is here. Our staff says she is still unsure right now and although she likes affection it takes a minute for her to warm up to you. They describe her as the sweetest girl, who after smelling your hand, will give you that happy tail wag and lots of kisses. Saying she is playful and curious once you get past her shyness. She was a little difficult to leash and head shy. We would recommend a harness until she is completely comfortable with you. However, she walked well on the leash, only stopping when startled by loud noises or a smell interested her. She will need some training as she did not respond to any commands. She shows a friendly interest in other dogs here at the shelter. She is still nervous here and would probably do better in a quiet home with no small children or teen-age kids that aren’t so loud and rambunctious. Lola will be a loyal, fun-loving companion her new forever home.
