My story

Valentina (born 8/8/2024) is a black and white sweet and petite kitten with a little white mustache! Valentina weighs 6 ½ pounds, likes sitting on your lap, playing with toys and looking out of the window. A great single cat, she prefers people to other felines. Brought to the Society when two house cats had kittens and having more cats was too much for the family. We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. We start the process once you have submitted an application to us.
