My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:Siri was asleep on top of the den and slowly woke up when spoken to. She sniffed treats and then allowed petting on her head and cheek until, suddenly and without warning, she gave a massive hiss and the interaction was ended.Siri tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.A volunteer writes: My heart aches for Sirl, a tiny tabby beauty who came to the Care Center after her person had to go into a care facility. Her former owner gave us an A+ description of this special lady: Sirl is equal parts couch potato and fan of toys she can bat around and pounce on. She's curious with new people and kids, and she got on with the small dog in the home. At the Care Center she's opened up to pettings and human interaction, displaying curiosity and comfort with people. But she's also shown some caution and fear as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Sirl has all the characteristics of a good and sweet girl who is trying to process the sudden change in her life. We're doing everything we can to help her, but the most important step would be to find a new home for her with pet parents who allow her time to decompress. Want to give a fraidy cat the helping hand she needs? Sirl is waiting to meet you on 110th Street. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: Black Tabby Weight: 6.5 Age: 6yrs 0mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sirl, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
