My story

Location Troy, MO Application at leiashope.org Preference PLAYMATE (kids or dog) Sugar Cookie is as sweet as her name! She can be a little shy at first, but think a lot of that has to do with her very outgoing sister who steals the attention. Sugar is happy to wait her turn. Sugar is obsessed with water and getting her feet wet and likes to play in her water bowl at every opportunity! Foster mom has tried elevating the bowl but still she finds a way! She also likes toys and right now she is teething so chew toys are some of her favorites! Sugar would enjoy a playmate in her new home. This will help keep her busy and also help to gain some confidence. She was born in a puppy mill so she has not had the socialization or the experiences a puppy has when raised in a home. She will need a chance to figure out the world has a lot to offer! Sugar has a beautiful fluffy coat that will need routine brushing. Sugar Cookie's adoption is $550. She is not spayed due to her age. A $200 credit will be paid when she is at least 6 months of age for her spay. She is microchipped, current on age appropriate vaccines, and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. Applications at leiashope.org. NOTE: WE ARE A VOLUNTEER RAN ORGANIZATION AND OUR APPLICATION PROCESS CAN TAKE 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS, DEPENDING ON OUR AVAILIBILITY AND YOUR REFERENCES. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES AND NOT AT A CENTRAL LOCATION. AN APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE DO MEET AND GREETS. WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT DOGS. YOU MUST COME TO THE LOCATION OF THE DOG TO MEET AND ADOPT. Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
