My story

Location Troy, MO Application at leiashope.org Requirements: Secure Physical Fenced Yard Canine companion. Fred is a small and mighty little guy with ears that stand at alert! Fred came from a puppy mill and is learning what it is like to be a pet. Fred is sweet once he trusts you. He is timid at first and will shy away from hands that go over top of his head. If you take things slow and are patient, he will begin to relax and soak in the love. Fred enjoys the company of other dogs and following after them. He is learning a lot about how to be a pet just by watching them. He will explore his surroundings and is curious about things in the home. Fred will need a canine companion in his new home to continue to show him how to be a beloved member of the family. Fred is considered a flight risk and requires a secure physical fenced yard. Fred's adoption is $400. He is neutered, received a dental, microchipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. Applications at leiashope.org. NOTE: WE ARE A VOLUNTEER RAN ORGANIZATION AND OUR APPLICATION PROCESS CAN TAKE 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS, DEPENDING ON OUR AVAILIBILITY AND YOUR REFERENCES. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES AND NOT AT A CENTRAL LOCATION. AN APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE DO MEET AND GREETS. WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT DOGS. YOU MUST COME TO THE LOCATION OF THE DOG TO MEET AND ADOPT. Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
