My story

Meet Mia – A Sweet, Playful Kitten Looking for a Loving HomeAge: 3 Months FIV Status: Positive (Pending Retest)Mia is a 3-month-old kitten with a gentle purr, a curious spirit, and a playful personality. She`s everything you’d want in a kitten—loving, spunky, and ready to explore the world around her.Mia recently tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but because she’s so young, this result may not be accurate. Kittens born to FIV-positive mothers can test positive temporarily due to maternal antibodies, even if they are not infected themselves. Unfortunately, Mia did not arrive with her mother, so we can’t confirm her mom’s status.Mia will need to be retested in September to determine her true FIV status. In the meantime, she is healthy, energetic, and thriving. What You Should Know:FIV is not contagious to people or other animal species. Many cats with FIV live long, healthy, and full lives.Mia is currently showing no signs of illness and is doing well in her foster environment. Her adopter should be aware of her status and be willing to have her retested in September.Mia is looking for a home that can offer love, care, and a little patience while she grows and gets that follow-up test. If you’re ready to give a sweet kitten the chance she deserves, Mia is ready to meet you.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
