My story

Romy and Michelle are a bonded pair who were found after being dumped on a hiking trail. We were asked if we could do their legal stray and since no owners were found they are now officially part of HLF. The girls are between 9 and 12 months old, under 5lbs each, and are very loyal to their person. They love to snuggle and play. They do have a bit of separation anxiety when left or separated from their person, but they have gotten much better than they were when they first came to us. Romy is great with all dogs, but Michelle is a little more selective. Both girls are working on potty training but are getting good about using a potty pad. Due to the girls size we do think that they would be better off in a home with older children. Romy has what is known as as a lobster claw on her front right foot. Basically the foot bone (palm area) didn't form right creating an opening in the bone. This causes her no pain and doesn't hold her back at all. No repair is needed as any surgery would be cosmetic and have no actual purpose. Romy has no idea that she any different then any other dog.   Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation. See a pet that you want to adopt or foster?  Please start by filling out the foster or adoption application on our website. Applications are required to be filled out before meeting a pet.  ##2413402##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Romy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
