My story

At 4 years old, Claire is a vivacious, affectionate German Shepherd who’s full of personality—and fur! She may be a big girl, but don’t tell her that—Claire truly believes she’s a lap dog and won’t hesitate to climb right up for a snuggle or wrap you in one of her signature "hugs." Claire is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, but this sweet girl is so much more than a diagnosis. The busy shelter environment stresses her out, and what she really needs is a calm, loving home where she can rest, recover, and finally relax. Despite everything, Claire’s spirit shines bright. She’s playful, loyal, and has endless love to give to the right person or family. If you’re looking for a big-hearted companion who’s just waiting for her chance to feel safe and cherished, Claire could be the girl for you.
