Savoring her second chance at life, sweet 3-year-old Stellar makes her foster home shine! At a trim 27 pounds, she’s supremely sociable with just the right amount of self-sufficiency, and loves everyone equally. Easygoing and friendly, Stellar will sit comfortably close to her fosters on the couch for awhile before seeking and finding her own space to chill. Agile, athletic and happiest when active, she loves going for walks, playing tug-o-war with another dog, zipping around the yard playing chase (she LOVES it when the other dogs try to catch her), and performing parkour with one of her other doggy foster friends in the house. Fond of all treats, Stellar’s favorite toys are stuffed animals, rope toys, bones and hard chew toys, and she's motivated by love and, yes, toys! Although she currently knows no commands, she’s highly intelligent, eager to please and should prove easy to teach. Crate trained and continuing to work on her housetraining skills, Stellar’s ideal home is preferably one with a yard and a doggy playmate or one with loving and active adopters who will complete her training, including her commands, and always take her for walks, runs and hikes. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! May 28, 2025, 3:28 pm
