My story

~~THIS IS A COURTESY POST. THIS DOG IS **NOT** IN THE CARE OF THE ALTERNATIVE HUMANE SOCIETY. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT LENNY, PLEASE REACH OUT TO HIS OWNER AT seadoll26@gmail.com  THANKS!~~ Meet Lenny the Lovable Lab! He's a goofy, big-hearted, four-year-old guy who loves to play fetch, tug-o-war, and will even toss his toys himself if his people aren't able to do so as consistently as he'd like. Lenny adores chasing laser lights, light reflections on the wall, and water from a shower head or hose. He can play in water for hours without getting tired!  Lenny understands "sit" (but doesn't necessarily stay for very long) and "Lenny, go get your toy!"  Despite his higher energy level, Lenny also loves to snuggle with his people—he'll creep up onto the couch and into our laps where he's content to stay until we need to stand or shift positions. This sweet guy gets along with people, other dogs, and cats (he's surprisingly gentle in his interactions with our cat); however, because he plays a bit rough, he might be a bit much for smaller kids—simply because he's strong and plays tug-o-war like an Olympic sport! Lenny does like to steal attention and toys from other dogs if he sees we're playing with them instead of him, but some formal training might subdue that habit.  He rarely barks (in the two and a half years we've had him, I've heard him bark a total of five times). Lenny will scratch at the door when he needs to go out.  He would do well in a fenced yard as his nose urges him to wander. The best way to get him back is to drive up to him—he loves going for car rides!  Lenny is neutered and up to date on his shots (next vaccinations due in December). He has a mild skin allergy that we treat with Benadryl (the vet has approved this).  We're sad to see him go, but since we're moving into a smaller place, we've decided this 70lb bundle of love could really thrive in an active family (or even with one single person) who will run and play with Lenny to his heart's content. Does he sound like a good fit for you? If so, please email Mary-Claire (seadoll26@gmail.com) with questions and information about yourself. ##2410934##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lenny, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
