Chili and Curry have torn up their feral cards! These siblings came to us on April 26, 2025, as scared five-week-old feral kittens in the making. They didn’t know what humans had to offer them, and, at first, they didn’t really care. We were greeted with baby hisses and frightened growls. But they quickly learned they were safe, out of the weather, and their bellies were full. They learned how good it felt to be pet, have their ears rubbed, and be loved on. And as I said above, Chili, the female, and Curry, her brother, are now former ferals. Chili was the first to come around, with Curry taking a bit longer. He’s still the wary one of the pair, but loves human interaction and contact. They are so far along their journey to being indoor cats, they actually sleep in bed with us at night. As a strongly bonded pair, we will be adopting them together. If you want to help write the rest of Chili’s and Curry’s happily ever after story, let us know. To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me. If you are considering adopting, please fill out and submit the adoption contract found in The Adoption Process link on my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com). In the meantime, you can follow their journey on Facebook: Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters Chat Group. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3). The $150 adoption fee is for both kittens and covers FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and spay/neuter with a partner clinic.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chili & Curry, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
