My story

Joey Roo is a neutered, one year old Shih Tzu mix. He was given to the care of BPSBR by Erie County SPCA, after they seized him from a neglectful home. He was very timid during his first week in foster care but is opening up more and more every day! Once you've earned his trust, he will be your sweetest shadow. Joey is a LOVER and extremely playful. He loves squeaky toys, running around with his foster brothers, and to pick dandelions. Joey does well going potty outside if kept on a schedule, but potty training is still in progress. He has no problem going up and down a small set of stairs. He sleeps sweetly in a dog bed at night, but would prefer to sleep in bed with his humans (once he's adjusted to the home.) His couch cuddles are addicting, so be prepared to get cozy! The perfect home for Joey would have another playful dog(s,) a fully fenced backyard, only home alone 4/5 hrs, and if there are children - 12y.o+ (or emotionally aware of a rescue dog's need for space and patience while adjusting.) Joey does not shed and will require gromming every 8-10 weeks once his coat fully grows back in. He loves his foster mom, but seems to favor men. Joey has not been tested around cats and is still building confidence on a leash. Could he be a the perfect addition to your family? Apply today!   NY AG/MKTS RR363Joey Roo is being fostered in BuffaloJoey Roo's adoption donation is $600

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Joey Roo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
