Dolce

My story

A volunteer writes:Dolce and friend Gabanna were left behind as their owners moved away...A nice neighbor took care of them for a while but in the end had to bring the pair to us in order to find them a steady home. Dolce had a hard time in the beginning of her stay but yesterday was the day she decided to come out of her shell. I tempted her with treats and she made her move outside her hiding place, sampling Temptations and other goodies. She did not stop there.. She leaned into pets, made biscuits, started to purr and had no intention to go back in hiding. What a lovely gal, petite and girly, sweet and gentle and not afraid anymore(see video). Looks like Dolce is ready to meet her new owner or family and start a new page in her life. Stop by the Manhattan Care Center, ask to meet Dolce and take her home!I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.
