🐾 The Grand, Graceful and Gentle Dame! 🐾 Greetings, Hoomans! I’m Lady Willow — a royally elegant and floofily beautiful German Shepherd mix. At 8 years young and a stately 68 pounds, I carry myself with charm, dignity and flair. ❤️ The first thing you’ll notice about me is how gorgeous I am! You won’t be able to resist my soft, majestic coat, soulful eyes, and this fabulously floofy tail that deserves its own fan club — not too shabby for a seasoned gal, eh? I was quite the head-turner back in my day and broke more than a few hearts... and I’ve still got it! 😏 Trust me, I’m just as beautiful on the inside as I am on the outside. My friends at TVAR love me so much that they took me to the veterinarian to see about my large mammary tumor. The doctor thinks it needs to be removed - which I kind of agree with since it will only get larger. While no one knows if the tumor is cancerous or not - or if they can remove it without leaving a trace - I still feel really lucky. A super kind donor thinks so much of me that they are willing to sponsor the cost of my surgery, removal and lab work. And I'm hoping there's an adopter out there who will take me home after surgery so I can start my healing journey and recover safely and comfortably in my new furever home with someone who will love me the way I know I will love them. Now, I don’t bestow my affections lightly. My volunteer companions often say I remind them of Violet Crawley from Downton Abbey — poised, graceful, and just a bit reserved. But give me a little time, a sprinkle of patience and er, those jerky treats, and you'll be rewarded with sweetest smiles and floofiest tail wags you’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. 🥰 My most cherished pastime is embarking on a good old-fashioned sniffari. Nose to the ground, tail in the air — I delight in uncovering all the latest neighborhood drama. I also absolutely LOVE my trusted volunteer companions. You'll often find me sitting near the kennel door, head tilted just so, patiently and charmingly awaiting their arrival — a picture of dignified anticipation. 💕 After I’ve elegantly pony-trotted the yard, sniffed up all the local gossip and completed my perimeter patrol, I’m more than ready for some cozy snuggles and pets. There’s a special spot during chest rubs that makes my rear leg do the cutest little dance. I also love being brushed and stretching out to relax in the sun. 😀 I’ll admit, I can be a bit particular when it comes to my fellow doggos. I tend to feel most at ease around friendly, well-mannered ones. If we don’t quite see eye to eye, I’m not shy about expressing my feelings. If you have a dog at home, please bring them along for a supervised, on-leash meet and greet to see if we are a good match. 🐶🐶 If you’re seeking a devoted companion with who is elegant, resilient, and has just the right amount of dramatic flair — then I dare say, we might be a perfect match! Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). The cost of her spay surgery will be sponsored! ** Adopt her on Fluffy Dog Friday or Senior Sunday and her adoption fee will be waived! ** ## See video of Willow at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies/ Willow’s Shelter ID# is 86119.
