Si

My story

Si is an exceptional dog! Beautiful, smart, friendly, agile, fun, playful, good with other dogs, and so much more... So why is he for adoption, you ask? Well, this is a sad story... his humans died in a car accident, and their family could not keep him, at least not in the best conditions. This is why Si is currently in a foster home with several other dogs, large and small, old and young. Si just turned 2 years old, he weighs 76 lbs (but still needs to gain a few more lbs), he is heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, up to date on his shots, neutered, microchipped and housetrained. He also has one crystal-clear blue eye which is his personal beauty touch :-) He is young and full of playfulness and energy, so a fully fenced-in yard is required. He loves truck rides and will give you directions (just kidding... but that's how smart he is!) He is people friendly, dog friendly, cats... not so much! The ideal adopter would have owned German Shepherds and be familiar with the breed. Si is a German Shepherd lover's dream come true... Note: One thing to know about Si before you apply to adopt him: he is a German Shepherd, and as such, he will shed... a lot! If you can't stand dog hair in your house or if you are allergic to dog hair, Si is NOT the dog for you, please look for another lovable dog in need of a good home! IMPORTANT: This adoption is limited to a 60-mile radius from Lafayette, LA. No long distance adoption (sorry!)
