Skye

My story

Skye is a 5 year old, 112 lb, male Great Pyrenees looking for a new home as his owner has taken ill, and can't care for him any longer. We are told by his current people: "Skye just wants love and attention he's a very good sweet dog, and loves other animals (as you can tell from the picture of him with the cat). He's good with any people, kids, loves other dogs. He's very sweet just wants love and attention and we really want him to go to a hoe where he will get LOTS of love and attention! I think he would be good with another dog so he'd have a friend once they got to know eachother." Our GRRAND volunteer who met Skye says: "Skye is an AWESOME dog!!! Sweetest face I have ever seen!!! He is calm, relaxed, affectionate dog who just wants to be with his pack, be it humans or other animals. I think he would thrive in an environment where he was with a family with kids and another dog, but that isn't "necessary". " Skye has not had any training, so his new family will need to have the time and patience to work with him and he is looking for a home with a fenced in yard, as the Great Pyrenees breed love nothing more than to hang out in the yard, patrol a little here and there and watch the world go by. Great Pyrs and Goldens are not the same, and we suggest you do some research to find out their breed similiarities and differences before applying. If you are a Great Pyrenees lover, you will know their delightful stubborness is what makes them so fun and challenging just the same!!
