Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only homePlease check here for updated adoption hours.A volunteer writes: I'm not sure if Castin thinks he's a dog, but the way that he plays leads me to believe he absolutely thinks he is. When I first met Castin, he bursted to the front of his condo in a bright cloud of sparkles to say hi to me. Reaching his paws out to make his point, he seemed like the cuddly type! I gave him my hand and he happily leaned in for a moment, but then I offered Castin a toy and his eyes lit up. Clearly, pipe cleaner feathers are precious to him and I thought, "Ok, great! I can play with you." Except Castin plays a bit differently than most cats I know and while I tried to keep up, his style is kind of a cat-dog hybrid that definitely keeps it interesting! Each time I thought I was catching on, the rules seemed to change a bit. First, he absconded with the toy. No problem. Interactive playtime looks different for different cats. Then, he carried it around his condo while talking to it. Adorable! But then he also seemed like he was trying to bury it somewhere. Like a dog carrying a treasured toy, he was looking for the perfect spot. The perfect spot will probably be with you, so please come and meet this lovely guy and all of his toys today!
