My story

Shug is a 16-pound male brown tabby cat with striking markings and a regal presence that turns heads wherever he lounges. Handsome and dignified, he carries himself with quiet confidence, often found perched in sunny windowsills or sprawled luxuriously across the back of the couch. Despite his impressive size and stately appearance, Shug is a total sweetheart at heart—gentle, affectionate, and endlessly loyal to his humans.With a soft purr and expressive green eyes, Shug has a way of melting hearts and calming moods. He enjoys quiet moments, chin scratches, and curling up next to you during a good book or movie. Shug gets along well with other pets and has a subtle, laid-back charm that makes him the undisputed king of cozy. Whether he`s greeting you with a head bump or softly snoring at your side, Shug is a loving, comforting presence in any home.ADOPTION PACKAGE:Thank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each cat adoption fee of $125 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, testing for feline AIDS, leukemia, and heartworms, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses.Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:· Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.· A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver`s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.· Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)· Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.· The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit card, or money order.* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.
