My story

Meet Rudy, a 3-year-old sweetheart Husky mix who was e-listed at MCACC for fear — he was very overwhelmed when walking past other dogs and would army crawl on the ground to sneak by. Once we got to hang out with him in the yard for evaluation, Rudy’s true colors came out: friendly, energetic, goofy boy. Despite his fear, he showed no aggression; he's just a kind soul looking for safety and reassurance. Rudy only needed about 24 hours in his foster home to settle in. Now, he’s stuck to his people like glue. He’s eager to please, full of affection, and always up for a game of fetch or a cuddle session. Rudy is high energy and happiest when he’s busy or engaged, whether that’s playing with toys or tagging along on a walk. He’s still learning the ropes when it comes to leash manners, but he’s making great progress. Rudy is affectionate, playful with other animals, and a loyal, goofy companion. He’s also a little nervous about the car but is working on that too — like everything else, he just needs time and kindness. Rudy could live in a variety of homes — active singles, couples, retirees, families with kids — anyone with the time and love to meet him where he is and help him continue to grow. He doesn’t love being left alone or crated, and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not. Rudy would love to have another dog in the home to play with and learn from. He’s done well with the large dogs in his foster home and would do best in a cat-free household due to his prey drive. Rudy is ready for a home that can give him all the snuggles, if that might be you, fill out an application today! https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rudy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
