My story

Dominic is a bit of a timid young pup. It wasn't easy to get him outside because he hunkered down on the slip lead with the noise and chaos inside the shelter, but with encouragement, treats, and compassionate patience, he eventually made it to the big world outside of his kennel. Once he was out, he loved running and exploring the interaction pen! He seems to be very housebroken which is heartbreaking when you think of him holding it for so long between outings.💔 Dominic is super kissy, sweet, and submissive. This fella needs someone to show him that humans mean love and fun! Dogs with minor insecurities tend to be some of the most loyal companions ever once they truly let themselves trust. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200.
