Although her face has some white, she’s active and alert with shiny white teeth, they didn't need any cleaning! She enjoys walks, cozy laps, and companionship, always happiest when she’s near her person. She’s leash trained, crate trained at night, and house-trained, though she initially marked in a new environment. We expect this to further improve after her spay on 5/22. Amelia gets along well with other dogs (though she may assert herself, regardless of size) and is immediately friendly with all people. She is gentle, snuggly, and has no behavioral concerns around kids or strangers. Medically, Amelia has grade 3–4 luxating patellas in both knees and would benefit from a home with minimal stairs and soft landings to avoid jumping. Her heartworm status is unclear; AAU will retest in a few months and provide any necessary treatment at an AAU vet. Ideal for a calm household with lots of lap time and gentle care.
