My story

Trinity is a large mix-breed sweetheart who’s as special as she is lovable. She’s the total package—affectionate, gentle, and happiest just hanging out with her people. She loves car rides, beach days, and lounging on the couch. While she can have bursts of playful energy, she’s mostly a chill companion who walks beautifully on leash and adores kids. What makes Trinity extra special is a facial deformity she was born with—it causes her face to twitch a little when she’s excited, but it doesn’t bother her and doesn’t require any treatment. She also has mild hip dysplasia, which is well-managed with an over-the-counter joint supplement to support her mobility.Trinity is dog selective and prefers to be the only dog for now, as she likes her space and slow introductions with new pups. She does have some separation anxiety and may go exploring in the trash if left alone too long—but with love and a bit of routine, she’s the most loyal, sweet, and wonderful companion you could ask for.Trinity isn’t just a good dog—she’s a one-of-a-kind gem. IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:82 lbsHOME TYPE:House or Townhouse - No apartments due to not likely new dogs in her space right away.CHILDREN:Yes - Sturdy children with large dog experience.CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.OTHER DOGS:No - Dog selective. Needs a slow introduction to another dog so it would be best to be the only dog in the home when she`s adjusting.ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:Moderate; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:First time dog owner possible.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:Trinity does not require to be signed up for training but needs to work on the following; Basic obedience, Basic manners, better neutral behaviour with other dogs, Separation anxiety.HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:She is very friendly and outgoing.FAVOURITE THINGS:Making new friends!FOSTER INSIDER INFO:HOUSE TRAINING:Trinity has never had an accident in the house. She will whine and get antsy when she needs to go out. CAR MANNERS:She’s very good in the car. Sometimes she needs to be reminded to lay downn. LEASH MANNERS/ON WALK MANNERS:Trinity is pretty good on leash. She does not pull. She needs reminders that walks stay on the sidewalk, not on the road.
