My story

Oakley is a stunning, high-energy large breed girl who is equal parts adventurer and snuggle bug. She absolutely loves people and is happiest when she’s soaking up affection, curling up for cuddles, or sneaking in kisses. Don’t let her love of lounging fool you—Oakley also enjoys long walks, playing in the yard, and keeping busy with fun activities. She has a wonderful “off switch,” meaning she knows how to relax after playtime.Oakley would thrive in a home that can give her plenty of exercise, affection, and consistency. In return, she’ll give you unconditional love, endless cuddles, and a loyal best friend for life.If you’re ready to invest in a loyal, energetic companion who will bring endless joy and excitement to your life, Oakley is eager to meet you! IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:65 pounds but tall. Will likely fill out more!HOME TYPE:Private exist homes onlyCHILDREN:Double digit children at the earliest - Has a high drive to work and can become very jumpy and mouthyCATS & SMALL ANIMALS:No - has show prey drive with small animalsOTHER DOGS:Yes - potentially compatible with other dogs of similar or larger size (no smaller dogs). Must be a confident larger dog who can help teach good canine behaviours. When it comes to other dogs, Oakley can be selective. She does best with calm or playful companions and isn’t a fan of overly pushy pups. ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need excessive amounts of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation. On leash, she has pretty good skills but still needs a little practice with not jumping up in her excitement to greet you.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:Family with previous owned large dog experience is ideal!TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:Although, this dog doesn`t require training session to be signed up. She still needs to work on separation anxiety, leash frustration to other dogs, prey drive, and jumpy behaviours.HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:Very human social and content to interact with anybody she meets but has a high drive to work and learn with peopleFAVOURITE THINGS:Puzzles, training, treats, frozen enrichment, being outside.FOSTER INFO:HOUSE TRAINING:Oakley is still working on perfecting her bathroom habits. She will let her foster family know when she needs to go outside and has only had a couple accidents inside the house.CAR MANNERS:Oakle
