My story

Meet Whale! Whale is a 6-week-old, 2-pound tabby kitten from Long Island who’s made a smooth and confident transition to big-city life in New York City. Don’t let his tiny size fool you—this little guy has a big personality, a soft purr, and a heart full of affection. From the moment he arrived in his foster home, Whale settled in quickly and made it clear that he’s a happy, healthy, and social kitten. He’s playful, snuggly, and incredibly charming. Whether he’s batting at his favorite feather toy, chasing the mouse under the mat, or curling up next to his foster human for a cozy nap, Whale brings joy and energy to every room he enters. Whale is already litter box trained and hasn’t had a single accident—he’s truly a very thoughtful and well-behaved houseguest. He’s been allowed full range of his foster home during the workday and spends his time munching on kitten kibble, chasing interactive toys, and cuddling or playing with the resident cat, who has even taken on some grooming duties. The two have formed a sweet bond, and Whale clearly thrives with feline company. Whale enjoys his downtime as much as his playtime and loves to snuggle up beside his people or his feline companion for long, contented naps. His ideal day includes a healthy mix of energetic play, full-bellied naps, and affectionate bonding with his family. This little guy would do best in a home where he won’t be left alone for long periods. He’s still a baby, and kittens at this age can become lonely or anxious if left without stimulation or companionship. For this reason, Whale is looking for a home with either a friendly resident cat or a human who is around most of the day to give him the attention, love, and interaction he needs to continue to thrive. Whale would do well in many different types of homes—whether with a single adult, a couple, or a family with children—so long as his social and emotional needs are met. He’s already made amazing progress, and his forever family will get to enjoy the rewards of his playful antics, sweet snuggles, and loving personality as he grows up. If you're looking for a gentle, loving, and joyful kitten to join your family—Whale is ready to dive into your heart. Vaccinated for FVRCP. Needs neuter, rabies shot, microchip, and snap test when of age and weight. To apply for Whale, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2378396##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Whale, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
