My story

Marilyn, a charming 5-year-old, 13-pound female Rat Terrier, Corgi, and Chihuahua mix, is the epitome of a loyal companion and a true cuddle bug. Despite her journey from San Diego to NYC, she's beautifully adapted to city life, proving her resilience and calm demeanor. Her captivating light brown eyes are a window to her heart, remaining steadfastly trained on her chosen human, a testament to her deep affection. This loving girl thrives on connection. When she's with her people, physical touch is a must – she simply has to be touching you, showcasing her desire for closeness. Marilyn is incredibly food-motivated, making training a joy; she's mastered "sit" with enthusiasm, always eager for a tasty reward. She's also a model leash-walker and appears to be reliably house-trained, making her a wonderful addition to any home. While she prefers companionship, she settles quickly when her human leaves and would flourish in a home with another adult dog, as the presence of a canine friend beautifully soothes her mild solo separation anxiety. Marilyn's sweet nature extends to her charming quirks, like the mandatory "belly rub tax" required when leashing up or cleaning her paws – a small price to pay for such unconditional love.
