My story

I'm available for adoption at ACC's Mobile Adoption Event on Sunday, May 11 from 12pm - 4pm at Petco Bensonhurst, 2601 86th St, Brooklyn, NY 11223. Adoptions are in-person and first come, first served, so make sure to get there early. You can apply for me now, but it will not put me on hold for you. I can't wait to meet you!Molly accepts attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to an adult-only home with experienced cat parents.A volunteer writes: We've heard that when Molly feels comfortable, she follows her people around the house. I'm not sure that Molly's felt as comfortable here at the shelter though. She's had moments of brightness where she's interested in meeting new friends, welcoming us with a wide rainbow tail and leaning her cheeks into our hands for pets. Curious and focused on the room behind us, we know that shelter life isn't easy but we keep trying to get to know her just a little bit more. Each time I see Molly, she's in her den and in her thoughts. Understanding that our best looks different each day, we give Molly some grace, lots of extra treats, and the space to be herself with us.
