My story

Daisy is a lively, high-energy girl who loves to play and exercise. She’s housebroken and knows basic commands like sit, down, stay, and drop it. Daisy enjoys tug-of-war, playing with toys, and spending time with people. When first approached, Daisy can be nervous. She tends to be still and scans her environment, showing signs of fear. However, with patience and calm interaction, she warms up and allows gentle petting. She’s tolerant and willing to engage once she feels safe. Daisy thrives with lots of attention and activity and is looking for a patient family who can help her build confidence while keeping up with her playful demeanor! Come meet Daisy at ACCT Philly any day between 10 am and 6 pm VIDEOS: Playgroup 5/25: Zina, Truffle, Wolfgang, Mikey, Daisy https://youtu.be/bphgIaNdaig BEHAVIOR Per staff 5/24: Playgroup notes: Steerable, fearful, timid, avoidant, gave greetings, paw raised, gives corrections, sometimes over corrects 05/20/2025 volunteer notes: She was standing which hunched body, whale eye, still and stiff when I approached her crate. I tossed in a treat, but she did not eat it. I opened the crate and offered the leash and she came to the front slowly and was easy to leash. She walked with a hunched body, whale eye, ears back, tucked tail to the outside, looking back at the handler, trying to get further proximity from me. We went into the pen as she was displaying. She was very nervous, walking, in the pen, she stood still a lot with tail down or tucked, scanning the environment. Ears back, mouth closed, lip licks. When I approached, she would stay still, when I pet she was unfazed. I kept petting to a minimum initially. I then sat down on the bench, and eventually she did approach for me to pet her neck and chest. I was also able to touch her sides and her back end and she was tolerant, showing body language indicating fear. She walked back to her crate with ears back, tail tucked, was easy to return and remove the leash. ~ ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
