My story

Hi, I’m Ocean – A Spunky Sweetheart Looking for My Forever Home! I’m a 1-year-old Cattledog/Hound mix from Virginia, weighing in at about 30 pounds—but don’t let my size fool you! I’m packed with full-on puppy energy, charm, and heart. I just made a big journey to a new place, and while I’m still settling in, I’m already winning hearts with my lovable personality. Life’s been a little overwhelming lately, so I’ve been doing some stress-licking and guarding my food a bit—especially around other dogs. It’s just my way of saying, “Hey, I’m still figuring out this new world.” I’ve also been a little too curious about cats (I can’t help myself… they’re so fun to chase!), so a cat-free home would be best for me. But here’s the good stuff: I’m super food-motivated (who isn’t, amirite?!), which makes training me a total breeze. Toss me a treat and I’ll do just about anything! I also love people and make fast friends wherever I go. Belly rubs, snacks, attention? Yes, please! What I need most is a calm, understanding home where I can continue to build trust and confidence. Ideally, I’d like to be your one-and-only pet while I settle in and find my footing. In return, I promise to fill your life with affection, loyalty, and a whole lot of tail wags.
