My story

Coco is a happy-go-lucky 7-month-old Basset mix bursting with energy and personality! As you’d expect for her age, she’s an active pup who loves to play, explore, and make the most of every moment. She’s both house-trained and crate-trained and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can run, play, and sunbathe to her heart’s content. Coco takes her outdoor sniffing duties very seriously—she inspects every blade of grass like it’s her full-time job!Coco loves playing tug-of-war with her family, chewing on bones, and romping around with her foster sister—even though there’s quite a size difference. She does have some resource guarding when it comes to food and is convinced her foster sister’s bed is hers, so she’ll need some continued guidance in that area.She’s a little shoe thief at heart (you’ve been warned!) but also loves tummy rubs, getting brushed, and cuddling once she’s comfortable. Though she may be shy at first, once she settles in, she acts like she’s always been part of the family. Coco does especially well with older children who can match her energy and playfulness.Sweet, spunky, and full of love, Coco is ready to bring joy and laughter to her forever home!Ready to meet Coco? We adopt to residents of Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, DC, Delaware, and southern Pennsylvania. Do not apply to adopt from BROOD if you live in another state.
