My story

Lewis is a 9-year-old Basset mix with a sweet, snuggly personality and a gentle soul. Despite his age, Lewis is playful and active, especially when toys or balls are involved. He is house-trained and learned the doggie door in a flash! He can be crated if needed but is so well behaved that a crate isn’t necessary. He adjusted quickly to his foster home, and was a perfect guest in his temporary foster while his family was away,He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is good with cats, making him a great fit for multi-pet households. He will gladly sit for any treats! He may be small in size, but he has a big heart full of love that he gladly shares with all he meets.Lewis would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he doesn’t like to be left alone for long. He’s a quiet, patient sleeper, content to snooze until his family is ready to start the day. This affectionate guy thrives on companionship and simply wants to be by your side.
